Oda Nobutomo

Oda Nobutomo (1534-1555) was a Sengoku-period warlord who served as deputy protector (shugodai) of Owari's lower four counties (下四郡). He was the lord of Kiyosu Castle and dominated the region through retainers Sakai Daizen and Kawahashi Samasuke. Nobutomo initially supported Oda Nobushige against Oda Nobunaga but was defeated in the Battle of Kayatsu. He was eventually destroyed by Nobunaga's forces and killed in 1555 after attempting to assassinate his nominal lord and plotting against Nobunaga.
