Yuya Nakanishi / Masahiro

Yuya Nakanishi, who works under the smithing name Masahiro, is a contemporary swordsmith grounded in the Bizen tradition. He pursues refined jigane with the distinctive utsuri of the Bizen style and a brilliant hamon of gunome-midare mixed with chōji. As a young smith, he contributes regularly to the New Sword and Contemporary Swordsmith exhibitions and has gained recognition within the industry as a promising emerging talent. He plays a meaningful role in transmitting the beauty of the Bizen tradition to the present day.
