藤原兼房・二十六代
Description
Fujiwara Kanefusa XXVI is a contemporary swordsmith based in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, the current bearer of the Kanefusa lineage. Deeply rooted in the technical traditions of the Mino school, he continues to create artistically and functionally accomplished blades for sword enthusiasts of the Reiwa era. His steel displays flowing itame typical of the Mino tradition with even jinie, and his hamon of gunome-midare with pointed variations reflects a personal voice within the Seki swordsmithing style. Through his participation in the New Sword Exhibition and other prestigious events, he builds his credentials as a modern craftsman and is looked to both in Japan and internationally as a young master who advances the continuing evolution of this storied Seki lineage.
