Fujiwara Kanefusa XXV

Fujiwara Kanefusa XXV (25th generation) is a contemporary swordsmith who has inherited the illustrious Kanefusa name of Seki in Mino Province, a lineage that has continued unbroken since the Muromachi period. Preserving the traditional techniques of the Seki smiths, Kanefusa XXV continues to make swords that meet contemporary demands. The nagare-itame grain and gunome-midare hamon characteristic of the Mino tradition are finished with care, conveying the practical beauty of Seki swords to the present day. The Kanefusa family is widely known as a representative illustrious name in Seki, and the 25th generation trains their child, the 26th generation, passing on that prestige and skill to the next generation.
