"Persona 5" is a role-playing game developed by Atlus, part of the Sega group, and released September 15, 2016, for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The fifth mainline entry in the "Persona" series, a spin-off of the "Shin Megami Tensei" franchise, it is set in Tokyo and follows high school students who form a masked group of vigilantes wielding their inner "Personas" to confront a distorted realm reflecting corrupt adults' twisted desires. An expanded edition, "Persona 5 Royal," was released in 2019.
