Story
During the Sengoku period, Araki Murashige (Masahiro Motoki), an eccentric daimyo who has grown increasingly hostile to Oda Nobunaga's brutal governance, decides to join his wife Chiyoho (Yuriko Yoshitaka) in a siege at Arikaka Castle. Surrounded by Oda's forces and with no hope of outside aid, a series of baffling murders begins to occur within the fortress walls. As paranoia spreads through the besieged castle, Murashige teams up with Kuroda Kanbei (Masaki Suda)—a brilliant military strategist held as a prisoner—to unravel a succession of inexplicable killings. Set at the crucial turning point that will lead to the Honnō-ji Incident, the film delves into the abyss of power, betrayal, and distrust amid the chaos of the Sengoku age.
