レジェンド＆バタフライ（映画・2023年）

Toei 70th Anniversary commemorative work (directed by Otomo Keishi, screenplay Furusawa Yoshita, released January 2023). Kimura Takuya portrays Oda Nobunaga and Ayase Haruka portrays his primary consort Nōhime (Kicho), depicting the unknown bond between Nobunaga and Nōhime. A large-scale historical film with a total production cost of 2 billion yen and cumulative attendance exceeding 1.8 million. Rooted in the historically documented famous swords of Nobunaga — Sozan Samonji (Yoshimoto Samonji) and Heshikiri Hasebe — this is an important work from the perspective of sword culture, in which Nobunaga's sword aesthetics under the banner of 'Tenka Fubu' (Rule the Realm Through Arms) intersect with Nōhime's strength.

関ヶ原（映画・2017年）

A 2017 historical film directed by Masato Harada and starring Junichi Okada, based on the novel of the same name by Ryotaro Shiba (1966). It depicts the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600—the decisive battle for supremacy—from the perspective of Mitsunari Ishida. A work that addresses 'swords and politics' among warlords in the late Sengoku period directly and seriously. The practical swordplay scenes of the Sengoku era, choreographed by Junichi Okada (who has grounding in Jeet Kune Do, Kali, and Shooto), received serious critical acclaim. Unusually for a Japanese battle film, in its serious depiction of individual swordplay within combat, it holds visual significance as a representation of sword culture.
